CAPRISK ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH ERISA LIABILITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM (ELAP)

CAPRISK is pleased to announce an exclusive program that benefits self-funded employers and the TPAs who administer their plans. CapRisk stop loss protection can be complemented by the ERISA Liability Assurance Program (ELAP). Specifically, the strategic partnership with ELAP provides three distinct benefits to self-funded plans:

1. Compliance – Benefit appeals are handled by an outsourced fiduciary relying on an independent, professional opinion. The process is compliant with DOL Regulations and free of conflict of interest.

2. Risk Transfer – The outsourced fiduciary, ELAP, Inc., accepts $1,000,000 liability for each and every Referred Appeal.

3. Stop Loss Concurrence – For appeals involving Medical Necessity or Experimental/Investigative questions, CapRisk will concur with the ELAP decision. This concurrence with the ELAP decision can reduce (or eliminate) the possibility of unreimbursed stop loss claims in these key areas.
